Binke Lenhardt, co-founder and partner of Crossboundaries was invited to give one of the two keynote speeches at a jointly organized event by the DAAD German Academic Exchange Service Beijing and the Heinrich-Böll Foundation Representative Office in Beijing on 26th of October. With the theme of “Green Living,” the event aimed to engage DAAD Alumni in a discussion about the relationship between our individual lifestyles and the effects of climate change, a matter that profoundly impacts all of us.
Binke elaborated on LIVE WITH LESS (LWL), a concept of living, which is also an event developed by the office of Crossboundaries with the goal of reaching out to the community and promoting the motto of “becoming an aware citizen by adopting more sustainable daily consumption habits.” LWL was initiated in 2016 and is an integral part of Crossboundaries’ Corporate Social Responsibility.
The other speaker was Wang Yuan 王媛, who is a Training Director of Gaiascape Design Studio (Friends of Nature) and Proprietor of Village BD Low-carbon Café. She introduced the low-carbon household project, elaborating on the adjustments that can be implemented in almost every apartment to move in the direction of a low-carbon home.
