The 21 shortlisted projects for the Exemplary Buildings Award in Hesse, Germany for the year 2020 have been announced:

developed in joined effort of tobeSTADT, Torsten Becker Stadtplaner, Frankfurt am Main; Stefan Bernard Landschaftsarchitekten, Berlin; KÖLLING ARCHITEKTEN BDA, Bad Vilbel and Crossboundaries, Frankfurt am Main.
The award of exemplary projects is part of a joint sustainability strategy of the state government of Hesse and the Architectural Chamber of Hesse (AKH).
The innovative and high-quality projects are intended to encourage planners, contractors, the construction industry, and craftsmen as well as politics and society to jointly work on a sustainable Hesse and to make a contribution to the implementation of the goals and agreements of the International treaty on climate change.
The shortlist was decided in February by an international jury, chaired by Prof. Dietmar Eberle, Baumschlager Eberle Architects, and Mirjam Niemeyer, Helsinki Zurich Office GmbH.
