The International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 with architectural exhibition:
The theme “Park City – Beautiful Habitat” emphasizes the prevailing characteristics of the times and the unique features of Chengdu, stressing principles of green, low carbon, sustainability, sharing, and inclusion.
Until the end of June an architectural exhibition is on show in the Berlin Iceberg Rose Garden pavilion, where 3 architectural firms are introduced, all having German partners or co-founders:
JKP, prespace Architekten, and Crossboundaries. This exhibition is still on show until the end of June!
The pavilion design was inspired by the abstraction of a rose blossom, influencing the garden’s shapes and pathways that lead to a central pavilion, which serves as a hub where visitors can learn about roses and German culture. Under the patronage of the Governing Mayor of Berlin, the garden’s events and exhibitions will focus on topics related to the German capital, as well as issues relevant to the exchange between Germany, China, Sichuan, and Chengdu. The pavilion is designed by prespace ARCHITEKTEN and is a place for meeting and exchange, with the ground floor functioning as a café and event space, and the upper floor dedicated to exhibitions.
The International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 will close its door on Oct. 28th, so there is still plenty of time to see and smell all the flowers on show.
